The Big Caper

Film (1957)

A professional criminal named Frank Harper (Rory Calhoun) joins forces with a mob boss to plan an ambitious heist ... robbing a bank in a small California coastal town. To prepare, Frank and his girlfriend Kay (Mary Costa) move into the community, posing as a married couple to case the area and blend in.

As the gang gathers and tensions mount, the plan grows increasingly dangerous, especially with one of the crooks being mentally unstable. Frank begins to have second thoughts ... not only about the robbery but about his criminal life altogether ... while Kay hopes they can escape before the inevitable chaos erupts.
